Major North American Freight Trucking Company Celebrates 10-Years of Safe Driving Program
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. Rewards Drivers for Reaching Safety Milestones
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., one of North America's largest freight trucking companies, recently celebrated the ten-year anniversary of the its Million Mile Safe Driving Award Program, created to recognize the accomplishments of company drivers who have reached safe-driving milestones.
Since 1996, J.B. Hunt has paid an impressive $12 million to a total of 2,140 safe drivers, including eight three-million-mile drivers, 219 two-million-mile drivers and 1,913 one-million-mile drivers. Each driver reached these significant accomplishments as an exclusive J.B. Hunt driver.
"Without question, this is one of the most significant achievements in our Company's history," commented J.B. Hunt’s president and CEO, Kirk Thompson. "I can think of no greater return on investment than the benefits these individuals have brought not only to our organization, but to the entire motoring public. We truly have the safest, most professional drivers in the industry and I look forward to the next ten years of safe driving awards and recognition."
J.B. Hunt rewards safe drivers with a cash award of $5,000 for those one million miles without incident. Those who drive two million safe miles are remunerated $10,000, and drivers reaching three million safe miles are rewarded $20,000. The company recently introduced a new four-million-mile safety award for which drivers will receive a $40,000 cash award.
